Antique Lighting, Walnut island, brass hardware
Refresh
Lynnhurst, Minneapolis, MN
This kitchen refresh focuses on elevating an already well-designed space through thoughtful, strategic updates. While the existing cabinetry offered a strong foundation, the original finishes caused the room to feel visually flat—lacking contrast, warmth, and definition.
Rather than a full renovation, the approach centered on refining what was already working. The cabinetry was refreshed with paint and updated hardware, while a new island was introduced to incorporate seating and improve everyday functionality. A stainless steel countertop was replaced with warmer materials, softening the overall feel of the space and bringing balance to this chef-driven kitchen.
Additional updates—including new countertops, backsplash, plumbing fixtures, and lighting—further enhanced the kitchen without altering its core layout. Select cabinetry was modified to improve visual continuity, resulting in a space that feels more cohesive, open, and intentionally refreshed.
